We are one of the Finnish Animal Protection Association&#8217;s (SEY) member associations. Our aim is to promote the welfare of animals and the proper treatment in the Kainuu region. Our activities include animal welfare counseling, special events, promotions and foster home organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>How to become a member?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>KESY is one of SEY&#8217;s member associations. They are assisted by SEY&#8217;s animal welfare advisors, who are volunteer civilians who have sworn secrecy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If an animal needs help immediately, please contact the authority. Immediate intervention is necessary for example in the following situations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Animal is abused physically<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animal is starving or without water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animal is kept in too hot or cold conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animal is shut up to the balcony<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need any assistance or you are unsure if the case is acute\/urgent, please contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sotkamo.fi\/asuminen-ja-ymparisto\/kainuun-ymparistoterveyspalvelut\/elainlaakintahuolto\/\">welfare vet<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/sey.fi\/kainuu\/kainuun-elainsuojeluyhdistys\/yhteystiedot\/\">SEY&#8217;s animal welfare advisor<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Such a case may be when, for example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You suspect there is a puppy mill<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You suspect that a pet doesn&#8217;t get enough exercise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You suspect&nbsp;that a pet is kept in runs that does not meet the regulations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You suspect the production facilities to be contrary to the regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can make animal welfare a notification at <a href=\"https:\/\/sey.fi\/tee-elainsuojeluilmoitus\/\">SEY&#8217;s website<\/a>.
